It's a Shore Thing! by Dan Morris for RJR

Dan Morris is at it again! His new collection for RJR is called "It's a Shore Thing"... and it's perfect for summertime projects and beach cottage decor. There are seashells, starfish, coral, turtles and all kinds of ocean creatures, from hermit crabs to seahorses, sandpipers and seagulls too!

This collection features light, bright, and sandy colors, but also has some prints with a navy background in case you're looking for something deeper. There are two "panel" fabrics - think throw pillows for your sofa and potholders for your kitchen - and there is even a kit for making a quilt for your bed.

We think this is going the be the best nautical fabric group of the summer. And since the designer is noted for exquisite attention to detail, you're sure to be as delighted as we were, to see these fabrics up close!

We've been told that RJR changed their production schedule to have these fabrics become available in June or July - they've been moved to the head of the list. Place your pre-orders now, and we will be shipping the fabrics just as soon as they come through our doors.

You're certain to love these nautical fabrics by Dan Morris... it's a Shore Thing!

Simply Color by V and Co. for Moda Fabrics

What was the most popular collection at Moda's booth at the Spring 2012 Quilt Market? It was "Simply Color" - a new group by a brand new designer, V and Co.

This group has something for everone: contemporary florals, modern geometric designs, traditional leafy prints, fun dots, and ombre solids in a rainbow of colors.

These colorful bold prints lend themselves well to decorating projects, the more delicate leafy designs would be at home in traditional quilts, and the dots can be used for the most adorable dresses and skirts. And of course they will be great for bags, too!

Though these fabrics will not be available until October, it's never too early to start planning your fall sewing projects... and we're taking pre-orders now.

Project Linus Fabrics by Quilting Treasures

Last year, to our great delight, Quilting Treasures was signed a licensing agreement to make "Peanuts" fabrics. You know... Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy... all the gang.

Well they just announced that they are going to be making a "Project Linus" collection that's due to come out in July. These fabrics feature Linus (with his blanket of course), Snoopy, and Woodstock ,and they are so very cute! And while of course they would be perfect for Project Linus quilts, somehow I think that the biggest fans of these fabrics will just be people who like Peanuts and Snoopy.

Quilting Treasures is planning a huge advertising push on this group, from having the Project Linus organization on hand at Quilt Market (the huge trade show in the fabric industry), to sending e-mails to all the Project Linus chapters, to advertising the collection in magazines.

We got our order placed today - HAH! - so it's in their system really early, and way before all the orders that will undoubtedly be placed at Market. Why do we care to be so early? Well... QT already has placed their order with the mill, which means when they get their first shipment in July, if the collection turns out to be wildly popular, they won't have enough goods available from the first printing to fill all their orders. And that's why we wanted to be an early bird.

Anybody else that wants to be an early bird... the collection is up for pre-orders. Just follow the link below!

"Ribbons of Hope" - new breast cancer awareness fabrics

We're ever so pleased to be the first one to bring you preview pictures of Rosemary Lavin's upcoming collection of new "pink ribbon" fabrics. Due to ship to stores in August, Windham Fabrics is donating a portion of the proceeds to the Maurer Foundation, which works to educate the public by providing current and accurate breast health information, to save lives.

The best thing about this collection is that the word "SURVIVOR" is included in two of the fabrics. We can't think of a more powerful message of encouragement!

While most of these fabrics are best suited to "Quilt Pink" projects: comfort quilts and quilts that will be raffled at fund raising events, you'll find that these designs are also very well suited to smaller projects such as tote bags, scarves, and pillowcases.

And of course the butterfly designs can be included in any projects, because there aren't any pink ribbon loops. We think the butterflies on the black background would be a stunning addition to add a "pop" of color to a black and white quilt!

Every year, Windham Fabrics comes out with a new group of pink ribbon fabrics, and they sell out very quickly. That's why we are taking pre-orders on these fabrics so very early. When you pre-order, it helps us to know which are going to be the best sellers, so that we can order an ample supply. And you will be assured of getting everything you need for your project(s).

We will also be offering a Fat Quarter bundle for this nine-piece collection.

The Farm Animals are here!

We've never seen such a realistic collection of farm animal fabrics as this group by Elizabeth' Studio. Goats, sheep, cows, horses, pigs, chickens, eggs... and a craft panel too. As always, the printing and attention to detail on this design are superb.

They were *supposed* to arrive in late September, but were delayed until December because the manufacturer wanted to make sure that the printing was just right. We think it was worth the wait!

Yo Gabba Gabba Fabric

Coming early next year there we will be carrying fabric that's based on the popular children's TV show, "Yo Gabba Gabba". Very colorful, they're suited to the pre-school crowd. We've chosen five fabrics, and all of them feature the characters Foofa, Plex, Muno, Toodee and Brobee.

Use these fabrics by themselves or combine them with brightly colored solids and textures to create unique quilts, pillows and pillowcases, curtains, or even fun clothing for your favorite little one.

The Yo Gabba Gabba fabrics are 100% cotton, designed by Hoffman Fabrics.
