Goodnight, Moon Fabrics

Do you remember the children's book, "Goodnight, Moon"? Many of us have read this bedtime story to our children and grandchildren.

We've been told that this collection will be available in October or November.

Think of the wonderful baby shower present it would be, to receive a copy of the book, plus a quilt for snuggling under? Or a book and pajamas... or curtains, or a pillowcase... time to get your imagination fired up with these fabrics!

Simple Pleasures - daisy floral fabrics by RJR

What a delight it was to open a plain, brown cardboard box today and find these treasures hiding inside! Brand new from RJR (designed by Debbie Beaves) they have what must surely be her favorite color (purple) but it's the sky blue in this collection that sets my heart leaping.

Aren't these fabrics just the very essence of summer?

I can see all sorts of quilts, curtains, and table linens that will make it seem like picnic time in your kitchen, no matter what time of the year the calendar says it is!

Simple Pleasures... a lovely group of fabrics, aptly named!

A New Twist

With designs reminiscent of what you can create using a spirograph toy - remember those? - Hoffman has come up with a group of fabrics that are a little bit mod, a little bit retro, and totally fun!

Choose from a warm colorway of sherbet-y orange, hot pink, and purple... or a cool palette that favors green, turquoise, and violet.

View them all!

They're advertising for us?? How nice!

I just looked at the latest flyer from Jo-Ann fabrics... and... they're advertising for us! Even gave us a type font as big as their own. Not capitalized, but that's okay with me... we're front-and-center, and that's just fine!

Shabby Chic Fabrics

Coming in fall... we will be receiving a beautiful selection of "Garden Rose" Shabby Chic Fabrics!

For those of you who have come to love this look, you will recognize the pale color palette of pink, blue, soft green and lavender set against a milk white background. The lovely larger cabbage roses, tiny calico florals, damasks and stripes mix and match wonderfully, and the colors flow easily among each other.

You can play up any one color, or combine your favorites. Whichever ones you choose, you'll find that it's simply impossible to create a bad combination. These fabrics all harmonize to make beautiful decor.

The "Garden Rose" collection isn't just limited to decor, though... from little girls clothing and bonnets to beautiful dresses for a garden party wedding, the possibilities are endless. Let your creativity soar!

And in case you're wondering... yes, the designer of this group of fabrics is Rachel Ashwell herself.

"Dogwood Trail" fabric by Moda

Nothing says spring more beautifully than pink and white dogwood blossoms against a clear blue sky! And since 1964, Paducah, Kentucky has been home to the "Dogwood Trail", a twelve mile driving tour showcasing the area's flowering dogwood trees.

Paducah is also the home to the National Quilt Museum, and Moda Fabrics decided to create this lovely collection to honor this beloved institution. They are donating proceeds of this collection to help the museum continue to celebrate the art, history, and heritage of quiltmaking.

Whether or not you are lucky enough to see the Dogwood Trail in person, you can certainly share the beauty of the season with this delightful group of dogwood fabrics and charming coordinates. They're designed by Sentimental Studios.
This collection will be arriving in July 2011, but we will be taking pre-orders. We're quite sure that Dogwood Trail will be very popular. Did we mention that the dogwood fabric comes in five colorways: porcelain, blossom (pale pink), petal (deeper pink), sky blue, and leaf green?
